Get a brief overview of our service and few things that you can expect to experience.
Our mission at Birthing in Hues is to ensure that all birthing people but especially black and other people of color have access to quality health care, doula services and birthing education . We believe that socioeconomic class, race, education or gender identity should not be the deciding factors as to whether or not you should have a safe, and supported birthing experience. We specifically work to reduce the maternal health disparities through high quality Midwifery care and OBGYN recommendation, doula services and birthing education. We understand that we cant not do this work alone so we also partner with other professionals and companies to make sure that our clients receive top notch care.
At Birthing In Hues we meet with families prior to starting services to see if we're the right fit for them. If we are not their match we work to connect them with other local doulas or organizations that will better meet their needs. From there if clients decide to start the journey with us they will have weekly check-ins, prenatal visit, comforts measure visit, co-created birthing, family and postpartum plans, labor support and postpartum care, Also we partner with other local companies so that those giving birth can have access to more care. For instance we partner with Lumos Chiropractic and our clients receive a physical exam, neurological scans, orthopedic testing, doctor reports and three adjustments. We also partner with The Titty Bar and Second Stork.
Hello Everyone,
My name is Cristle and I am the Founder and Lead Doula here at Birthing In Hues. The works started for me and has been sustained by my desire to meet a need for families. I'm originally from Florida which is where I started this work with families in my community. In 2020 I became a certified Doula and launched this business. I've worked in education for over a decade and continue to take my passion for education into the world of Birth Work.
